Who we are

Clearway Driving School Ltd (“Clearway”, “we”) of Unit 4, 18 Streatham High Road, London SW16 1EX is the controller for personal data processed through this booking platform. Contact hello@clearwaydriving.school. ICO registration ZB123456.

What we collect

• Account data: name, email, UK mobile, password hash, role.
• Learner records: pickup address and postcode, date of birth where given, licence number where given, transmission preference, lesson history, progress notes, optional test date/centre.
• Instructor records: ADI numbers, working hours, coverage, assigned vehicle.
• Bookings and payments: slot times (UTC), amounts in pence (GBP), provider transaction ids. We do not store full card numbers.
• Enquiries and optional marketing consents.
• Audit logs: who changed a booking, coverage area or refund.

Why we process it

To provide driving lessons, take payment, send transactional messages, meet instructor record-keeping, and (only with consent) send marketing. Lawful bases typically include contract, legal obligation and consent. The school must document the basis for each activity with its adviser.

Sharing

Payment providers, email/SMS vendors, hosting. We do not sell learner lists. Instructors see only learners assigned to their lessons.

Retention

Booking and payment records are kept for accounting and insurance periods. You may request access, correction, or deletion where the law allows — email hello@clearwaydriving.school.

International transfers and security

Hosting should remain in the UK/EEA where practicable. Passwords are hashed. Admin sign-in uses a second factor in this build. HTTPS is required in production.
