Questions we actually get asked
Do I need a provisional licence?
Yes for car lessons on public roads. Bring the photocard to every lesson. We can store the licence number if you choose to give it; it is not required to create an account.
Manual or automatic?
An automatic-only test licence does not let you drive a manual afterwards. Choose the transmission you want to be tested in. Instructors and cars are filtered so a manual-only ADI cannot be assigned an automatic lesson.
Why did my postcode get rejected?
Either it is not a valid UK postcode, it is in Northern Ireland (BT), or no active instructor covers that district. Neighbouring districts are not guessed.
How do cancellations work?
Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before the start. After that the office must override, and that action is written to the audit log. Package credit is returned only when the cancellation is within policy or an admin override says so.
When is my card charged?
When you hold a slot a payment intent is created. The booking becomes confirmed only after the payment provider result (or mock gateway in this demo) is verified on the server. Refreshing a success URL will not create a second paid booking.
Can you book my driving test?
No. From 12 May 2026 only you can book or change a DVSA car test. We can store the date and centre, remind you, and send you to GOV.UK. We do not run cancellation bots.
Are you official DVSA progress scores?
No. Instructor ratings on this site are internal training notes, not an official DVSA assessment.
SMS reminders?
Transactional email is on. SMS is logged until the school connects a UK SMS provider. Marketing messages are separate and need consent.
